Junior No. 1 singles player Polina Konop and senior team captain Andrea Nedorostova, key figures this spring as Northwestern State won the Southland Conference Tournament championship and reached the NCAA Tournament, have been recognized on the All-Louisiana Women's Tennis Team announced this weekend.

A first-team All-Southland pick in singles and doubles, Konop was picked for first-team honors on the All-Louisiana squad.

Konop led the Lady Demons in singles action with a 16-5 record at the No. 1 spot and also compiled a No. 2 doubles record of 16-5 with teammate Natalya Krutova.

She also earned first-team Academic All-Southland honors as NSU had three of the six spots on the first-team roster.

Nedorostova, a summa cum laude graduate recently named the Southland Conference Women's Tennis Student-Athlete of the Year, was an honorable mention All-Louisiana choice.

The Brno, Czech Republic native went 14-7 at the No. 4 singles spot and 17-3 in No. 1 doubles with teammate Tatiana Larina this season. She won All-Southland doubles honors for the fourth straight year.

She became the winningest doubles player in NSU history after amassing 71 career doubles victories and just 10 losses.

The senior also moved up to No. 4 on NSU's career-singles wins ledger with 60 wins.
