Northwestern State’s softball complex renovation project got a big lift as Bank of Montgomery President Ken Hale presented a $40,000 contribution to NSU Athletics Director Greg Burke during the NSU basketball doubleheader at Prather Coliseum Jan. 17. The renovations are expected to be complete in late March, more than a month before Northwestern hosts the Southland Conference Tournament. Chair-back seating in a partially-covered grandstand, a new press box and a new concession stand are included in the $466,000 project supported by private gifts and student fees designated for improvements to NSU Athletics facilities by the student body. Burke said chair-back seats and additional donations are being solicited.
