Northwestern State fans can reserve their seats on a fan bus to the Saturday, March 2 NSU at Stephen F. Austin basketball doubleheader that could determine the Southland Conference men's basketball championship, along with showcasing the best women's basketball rivalry in the league.

The travel package includes a game ticket, a meal and a tailgating party outside SFA's Johnson Coliseum, along with round trip charter bus transportation. The bus will leave at 1 p.m. from the parking lot of Prather Coliseum for the 4 p.m. doubleheader at SFA, with the women's game first on the schedule.

Cost is $35 for those reserving by Tuesday evening, and it goes up to $40 beginning Wednesday. If early interest warrants, more buses may be chartered. The trip is organized by the NSU Alumni Association. Reservations can be made online at NorthwesternAlumni.com/beatsfa or by telephone to Haley Blount at 318-357-4415 during business hours.

The Demons are atop the Southland Conference standings with a 13-2 league record and a 19-6 overall mark going into Saturday's non-conference game at Niagara. SFA carried a 21-3 overall record, 12-2 in Southland games, into a conference contest Wednesday night at Sam Houston State.

In the first meeting this year, the Demons prevailed 61-57 at Prather Coliseum. In the women's matchup, SFA's Ladyjacks won 57-50 in overtime.

The Lady Demons could clinch a conference tournament berth with a win at SFA.

The regular season will conclude for Northwestern with home doubleheaders Thursday, March 7 against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and Saturday, March 9 against Sam Houston.
