Job description: Provide secretarial support for the Dean of Students/Assistant Provost for Student Life
Why I like working at Northwestern: I have worked in the Division of Student Affairs for the entire 34 years I have been at Northwestern State (15 years in the University Bookstore, 11 years in the Office of Student Activities and Organizations, 4 years in the office of the Vice President for Student Affairs, and 4 years in the Dean of Students/Assistant Provost office). I have been so fortunate to work with great supervisors and co-workers in all these areas. The Division of Student Affairs is student-oriented and I thoroughly enjoy working around and with students from all walks of life. I have many fond memories from working at Northwestern. It is quite fulfilling to work in a cooperative and supportive environment. Each department I have worked in has had one initiative- to help students achieve their academic goal and represent their Alma Mater with pride. In short, I like working at Northwestern because it is a great university with caring and dedicated faculty and staff that strive to make a difference in the lives of our students.
