The new page at traditions.nsula.edu/collections/our-heritage has information on the Legend of Isabella, the campus ghost, the Alma Mater, Demon Fight Song, Vic the Demon and more.
“The alma mater, the fight song and other parts of our Northwestern State heritage are something everyone associated with the university cherishes and passes along each year to our new students,” said Northwestern State President Dr. Randall J. Webb. “I remember learning about some of these traditions in my childhood. They remain valuable to me and all of the Northwestern State family along with the new traditions that develop.”
The traditions site at traditions.nsula.edu has information on the NSU Hall of Distinction, the Long Purple Line and details the more than 50 historic monuments and markers on campus. Tommy Whitehead, professor emeritus of journalism, helped develop the site.
