Robbie Baker will conduct the training. During the sessions, he’ll discuss fire safety in student housing and off-campus housing. He’ll also present information on occupant awareness.
According to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, an estimated 3,800 fires occur each year in university housing, about 1 percent of total residential fires. The number of university and dormitory fires almost doubled over the past decade.
